Experience Community and Connection at Lincolnshire’s 2nd Annual Open House

The second inaugural Open House is almost here. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and learn about the inner workings of public works services and public safety. Tour the Police Department and Public Works facility, take part in interactive games, and enjoy giveaways of all kinds. All are welcome to attend. Shuttle services are available at 475 Milwaukee Avenue (formerly Fresh Market) and will transport visitors to and from Village Hall and Public Works. Activities include:

Police (1 Olde Half Day Rd.)

  • Touch-a-Truck

  • Try on police vests and handle equipment

  • Explosive disposal demonstration

  • K9 demonstration

  • Blood drive (click HERE for eligibility information)

Public Works (205 Schelter Rd.)

  • Free pancake breakfast

  • Paint-a-Plow

  • Sandbox digging

  • Slam dunk / bouncy house activities

Participate in Lincolnshire Lenses Photo Contest

Celebrate Lincolnshire's beauty by participating in the Lincolnshire Lenses Photo Contest. Pick from four categories including; buildings, nature/parks, neighborhoods, or Spirit of Lincolnshire. One photo per category per entrant is allowed (maximum of four submissions). Entrants must be residents, members of the Lincolnshire business community, or part of School Districts 103 or 125. Deadline for submissions is May 27 at 5 p.m.

Brief Guidelines (click HERE for full details):

  • Digital submissions only.

  • Photos must be taken after 2022, no alterations allowed.

  • Minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

  • All submissions must include release permission (and parent acknowledgment for those under 18).

  • Any photo with people must also include a signed model release by the pictured individuals. 

  • Photos must be taken in Lincolnshire, IL.

Winning photos, in each category, will be announced in Spring 2024, and will receive a $50 gift card to a Lincolnshire restaurant. For additional information, contact Yates McLaughlin at or 847-912-2331.
