Community Blood Drive Only One Week Away - Sign-Up Now

Next Saturday, April 20, the Village will host a community blood drive from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Village Hall during the second annual Open House. Individuals aged 17 or older (16 with signed parental consent), weighing at least 110 pounds, and in good health are eligible to donate.

Donors are encouraged to eat well, and stay hydrated, and are required to provide a photo ID at the time of donation. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to ensure a smooth and efficient donation experience. Walk-ins will be welcomed as schedule permits. Please park in the staff parking lot at Village Hall. See You At Lincolnshire's Second Annual Open House - Next Saturday

The second annual Open House is only one week away. On Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., visitors can learn about the workings of Lincolnshire public works and police departments. Tour the Police Department and Public Works facility, take part in interactive games, and enjoy giveaways of all kinds including a scavenger hunt. Everyone is welcome to attend. Shuttle services are available at 475 Milwaukee Avenue (formerly Fresh Market) and will transport visitors to and from Village Hall and Public Works.

Please do not park at the Public Works Facility or Village Hall unless participating in the community blood drive. Activities include:

Police (1 Olde Half Day Rd.)

  • Touch-a-Truck

  • Try on police vests and handle equipment

  • Explosive disposal demonstration

  • K9 demonstration

  • Community Blood drive (click HERE for eligibility information)

Public Works (205 Schelter Rd.)

  • Free pancake breakfast served by Boy Scout Troop 78

  • Paint-a-Plow

  • Sandbox digging

  • Slam dunk / bouncy house activities

  • Anti-icing & Water Main Break Demonstrations

Think you can visit all of the booths and activities at Village Hall and Public Works? A mystery prize will be given to those who complete this year's scavenger hunt. Lincolnshire will also host the DEA's Take Back Day event on the same day as the Open House from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Village Hall. This is your chance to safely dispose of unused/expired prescription drugs. All solid and liquid medications in consumer containers are welcome. Lincolnshire Receives 2024 Tree City USA Award

Lincolnshire recently received recognition as a 2024 Tree City USA. This is the 35th straight year and joins more than 3,400 communities across the county that share this distinction. Tree City USA is a national program that provides the framework for community forestry management. TreeCity USA recognizes Lincolnshire's commitment to the protection and proper management of our beautiful urban forest. Backflow Prevention Testing Program Update

The Village Board recently approved Backflow Solutions, Inc. (also known as BSI) as the contractor to manage Lincolnshire’s backflow program. BSI is a backflow device data management firm that tracks and keeps records of all backflow devices connected to the Village’s potable water system. Individuals with a backflow device will soon receive notification from BSI detailing updated contact information and instructions for submitting test results.
