Site Improvements
- Contact the Engineering Department at 847-913-2387 before starting any grading work that could affect drainage or is beneath the drip line of a tree in order to determine if a site work permit is required.
A Site Work Permit is required when doing asphalt overlay of your existing driveway or removal and replacement with asphalt, concrete or pavers. A permit is also required when performing any repairs to a sanitary sewer or water line. A permit is not required for seal-coating residential driveways, however commercial property seal-coating for parking lots does require a permit. Applications are available on the Village’s website and in some cases, permits may be applied for and received electronically.
Please contact Village Engineer, Wally Dittrich via email or at 847-913-2387 with additional Engineering related questions.
