The Mayor, Clerk, and Treasurer do not have regular office hours. They can be reached by calling the Village Manager's Office at 847-883-8600.
Terms of Office
The Mayor and Village Clerk are elected to four-year terms. Trustees are elected to staggered four-year terms. The Mayor, Trustees, and Village Clerk receive no compensation.
Village Manager
The daily operations of the Lincolnshire government are under the direction of a full-time professional, salaried Village Manager, appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of Trustees.
Scheduled Meeting Dates and Times
Regular Village Board Meetings of the Mayor and Board of Trustees are held in the Village Hall Public Meeting Room on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Committee of the Whole Meetings of the Village Board immediately follows the Regular Village Board Meeting. All meetings are open to the public except for Executive Sessions.
Town Meeting
An annual Town Meeting is typically held on the second Monday in May, but due to COVID restrictions, the 2021 meeting will be rescheduled for a later date. Residents are invited to come forward and ask any questions or make comments about Lincolnshire.
Voting
At Regular Village Board meetings, the Mayor votes in the case of a tie, where one-half of the elected Trustees have voted in favor of an ordinance, resolution, or motion even though there is no tie vote, or where a vote greater than a majority of the Board of Trustees is required by Statute to adopt an ordinance, resolution or motion. The Mayor may veto ordinances passed by the Board. The veto may be overridden by a 2/3rd vote.
Meeting Agendas
Agendas for upcoming meetings of the Village Board and Commissions are generally available the Friday before the meeting. Copies of agendas and approved minutes are available free of charge. If you are a village resident and wish to receive copies of Village Board agendas and minutes, please e-mail Leslie Cole with your request, and also provide your name, address, and telephone number. The agendas will be sent to you prior to the meeting, and minutes, once approved by the Board.
Public Notices
Notices of regular and special meetings and other notices required by Village Code or State Statute are posted at the Village Hall, sent to all officials affected by them, and to the area news media.
Legal notices required by Village Code or State Statute are posted at the Village Hall. They are also generally published in the legal notices section of the Lincolnshire Review. In certain circumstances, notices may be published in other area newspapers.
Lincolnshire NewsLetter
The Lincolnshire NewsLetter is a quarterly publication containing Village governmental news, information about Village Board actions, upcoming agenda items, crime prevention information, and other events of interest to residents.
Cable Channel 10 Comcast Broadband Cable
Lincolnshire's own government-access cable channel is used for information screens and emergency information.
Village Board, Regular Committee of the Whole, Architectural Review Board, Park Board, and Zoning Board meetings are cablecast live on cable channel 10 and are typically posted to the Village website the day after the meeting.

The Village keeps a data bank of residents willing to serve on our Village Boards and Commissions. Persons interested in being listed in this "bank" may obtain a Mayor's Talent Bank Form by contacting the Village Manager's office.
