Summer in the Shire is back! The Village of Lincolnshire invites you back to Village Green for a series of entertaining evenings filled with music, fun, and the sheer joy of summer. From June through September, Village Green will host three concerts, with the July 11 concert being held at the Vernon Area Public Library. All concerts are scheduled from 7-9 p.m., and admission is absolutely free. Attendees are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy performances in comfort. This series would not be possible without the partnership of Baceline Group.

The Lineup:

June 13 – Mackenzie O’Brien Band

Kick of the concert series with the Mackenzie O’Brien Band, Chicagoland’s newest young country sensation. Fronted by the rising star Mackenzie O’Brien, hailed as Chicago’s new country queen, the band brings an energetic mix of today’s country hits and timeless classics. Prepare for an evening where country meets rock, and captures the heart of the Midwest.

July 11 – Rosie & The Rivets

Step back in time with Rosie & The Rivets for a night of oldies. Specializing in the best danceable tracks of the 1950’s and early 1960’s, alongside modern hits with a vintage twist, their show promises high energy and fun for all ages. Attendees will immerse in a bygone era with authentic sounds and attire.

August 8 – Serendipity


Experience the energy of Serendipity, a pop/rock band known for their dynamic renditions of popular 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s covers as well as current pop hits. Famous for their lively performances across the Chicagoland area, Serendipity brings a blend of nostalgia and contemporary flair.

September 12 – Dr. Mark & The Sutures

Close out the series with the legendary Dr. Mark & The Sutures, a band that combines rock and classic hits. Comprised of local North Shore physicians and businessmen, they have shared stages with national celebrities and have been featured extensively in the media for their contributions to medical charities and community events. Their repertoire, heavily influenced by The Beatles, ensures a night of classic rock to be enjoyed by all.
