LRS collected over 100 live holiday trees on Wednesday, January 5. Leave your tree curbside until it is collected. Holiday tree recycling will continue every Wednesday during January 2022. Here’s what you need to know:

Natural Trees

Natural trees, wreaths, garlands, etc. will be collected at no charge during regularly scheduled refuse collection days. Please limit trees placed out for collection to one per week. Natural trees are not considered bulk items, so they will not count towards your one “bulk item” limit/week. Items must be real, without decorations, and free of chemicals and sprays.

Artificial Trees

Artificial trees or holiday decorations can be placed at the curb as a regular “bulk item” during any regular service day. Residents may place one bulk item at the curb every Wednesday for no additional charge. Any additional bulk item will require an LRS sticker.

  • Holiday tree recycling is not offered in December 2021.

  • Do not wrap natural trees in plastic. Trees wrapped in plastic will not be collected.

  • All decorations, stands, tinsel, garland, etc. must be removed in order for trees to be collected.

  • Place all trees at the curbside. Trees not placed at the curb will not be collected.

For questions regarding what qualifies as bulk items, read the LRS brochure. Call LRS at 844-633-3577 with additional questions.
