Resident Tips & Information

Garbage collection will occur every Wednesday. Blue LRS carts should be left curbside by 6LRS Truck Fall a.m. on Wednesday morning to ensure collection. Carts may be placed curbside no earlier than 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and must be put away no later than 9 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Carts must be stored in areas that are not in plain sight from the street or in a location that would be a nuisance to neighbors. The Village recommends storing carts in a garage.

NOTE: Affected residents over the age of 65 are eligible for a 10% senior discount by completing the Lincolnshire senior discount form.

Bulk Items & Additional Services

Residents may place one bulk item under 50lbs out for collection each week (excluding additional plastic bags). More than one bulk item, items heavier than 50lbs, and/or items that do not fit in garbage carts (e.g., additional waste bags, furniture, wrapped mattresses, etc.) will require an LRS sticker to be affixed for collection. Lincolnshire LRS stickers can be purchased at Village Hall, Heinen’s in Bannockburn, and Sunset Foods in Lake Forest. Stickers can also be used for food and yard waste. See the curbside composting tab for more information.

LRS also offers additional services like electronics recycling, spring clean-up, white goods collection, and shredding events. See the Additional Services tab for more information.

Cart Exchanges

Residents who wish to change the size of their LRS garbage and/or recycling carts can do so by submitting a cart exchange request form or calling 844-NEED-LRS. A $25 fee will apply.

Collection will be delayed by one day if a recognized holiday falls on a weekday. LRS recognizes the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
