The Village of Lincolnshire contracts with LRS to provide residential garbage, recycling, and curbside composting (food & yard waste) to single-family
residences within the Village’s limits. Commercial properties and multi-family homes, apartments/condominiums, and most Homeowners Associations (HOAs) are not covered by the Village’s contract since each has separate, privately negotiated service agreements with various permitted waste haulers. To determine whether you are serviced under the Village’s LRS contract, type your address into Community Portal or call LRS at 844-633-3577.
Collection day is typically Wednesday every week, except when impacted by an LRS-recognized holiday. To ensure collection, containers must be placed curbside by no later than 6 a.m. on collection day. Containers may be placed curbside no earlier than 9 p.m. the day before collection day and must be put away no later than 9 p.m. on collection day. Containers must also be stored in areas that are not in plain sight from the street or in a location that would be a nuisance to neighbors.

For unlimited program customers, LRS Waste Stickers are not required for garbage bags placed outside of the LRS garbage container

Billing/Auto-Pay
LRS bills customers quarterly (January, April, July, and October). Standard quarterly bills are determined by the size of the garbage container, and there is no additional charge for recycling. Both garbage and recycling containers are available in 35, 65, and 95-gallon options. Regardless of which garbage container size is selected, customers can choose either a 35, 65, or 95-gallon recycling container.
Recycling is an unlimited program, so there is no limit to the amount of accepted recycling items that can be placed at the curb. See our Recycling page for more information.

LRS Holiday Service Dates
Service will not take place on these recognized holidays. If the holiday falls on or before the regular weekly Wednesday collection day, the collection day will be postponed one day.

Report Missed Collection & Complaints
Call LRS at 844-633-3577 or email to report any missed collections or complaints. LRS will investigate missed collection reports, and, if substantiated, will typically resolve the issue within 24 hours or the next business day.
If you submit a complaint with LRS and are unable to find a resolution in a reasonable amount of time (1-2 business days), please call Public Works at 847-913-2356.
LRS Waste Stickers
More than one bulk item, items heavier than 50 lbs. and/or items that do not fit in garbage containers (e.g., additional waste bags), and curbside composting (food & yard waste) require an LRS Waste Sticker to be affixed for collection. Stickers do not expire; they do not need to be used the same year they are purchased.
In 2026, LRS Waste Stickers are $3.34/each or $16.70 for a sheet of five stickers. Stickers can be purchased at:

Unincorporated Lincolnshire residents living in Vernon Township are included in a Lake County waste hauling franchise agreement with LRS.
